The popularity of Sika deer hunting in Maryland has increased significantly over the last decade.  Sika deer hunting not only represents a challenging adventure for a unique trophy, the excellent flavored venison has resulted in a steadily increasing harvest!  Hunters interested in pursuing the elusive Sika will find the field-dressed weights of yearling females to average 45lbs, with 53lbs the average dressed weight for yearling males.  A big stag will dress around 100lbs.

5-Day Sunday (in) to Saturday (out) hunts include meals, lodging and expert guides for the late September, October (rut) and January seasons.  In fact, the January season is a great opportunity as big stags come back to find food and are typically present in both the morning and evening.  Outfitter leases nearly 1,000 acres strictly dedicated to Sika deer and no one hunts the ground except this outfitter, who has taken great strides to position high-quality ladder and box stands over feeders to maximize shot opportunities.  This gentleman's hunt (at times hunters will walk a bit) is easily accessible and tags can be purchased over the counter.

4-point minimum on stags.
