Appalachian Elk, Turkey & Bear Hunts Located in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of Eastern Kentucky & the Elk capital of the east in Knott County, Kentucky! This premier Kentucky elk outfitter - and their seasoned elk guides - has been chasing elk for nearly 20 years, and is one of the first/original outfitters that began guiding after introduction of Elk in the state of Kentucky! This outfit spends copious amounts of time hunting elk, bear, turkey and deer in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and camps are strategically placed in know areas of elk movement! Outfitter has taken many trophies, including a state record and several Pope & Young; having notched their place in the Pope & Young top-10 several times! Over the last several years this outfit has added bear hunting to their list of opportunities for clients, and they've successfully grown their bear hunts into a top tier hunt/experience! You'll thoroughly enjoy this experience as the outfit guides in the the middle of the best bear country in Kentucky (Knott, Letcher, Pike and Harlen counties). Package includes 2x1 guide service, lodging (campers on the mountain) and game prep. Meals are on your own. TUNDRATOUR Consultants will assist with unit applications. Application window for the Kentucky Elk Hunt Drawing is from August 1 to April 30 (midnight) each year and you can apply for three permit types (Bull Firearm, Cow Firearm, and Either-Sex Archery/Crossbow). When you successfully draw, appropriate licenses and Elk permits must be purchased by the designated deadline, to secure your permit. Enter Kentucky Elk draw with a $10 application fee, if selected purchase hunting license (Resident Hunting License Varies; Nonresident Hunting License - $150) and your chosen elk permit (Resident Bull - $100; Resident Cow - $60; Resident Either Sex Archery/Crossbow - $100; Non-Resident Bull - $550; Non-Resident Elk - $400; Non-Resident Either Sex Archery/Crossbow - $550). Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife announce draw results by mid-May.
