B203, Alaska Brown/Kodiak Bear,
Kodiak Island's Best Beasts A premier Alaska Brown & Kodiak Bear adventure! Experience the thrill of hunting HUGE Brown/Kodiak Bear with THE Master Guide on Kodiak Island! Kodiak Island is the emerald isle of the southwestern coast of Alaska's mainland and is home to an estimated 3000 of the legendary Kodiak brown bears. Choose between one of two location options for a 10-day adventure. First, with a successful tag draw (apply a year in advance), you can be one of a few hunters who can say they've killed a Brown Bear on Kodiak Island! Two, depending on the outcome of the tag draw, alternatively you may purchase an over-the-counter tag to hunt Brown Bear on the Peninsula in Cold Bay. Either way, "we aren't going to be shooting any small bears, we are looking for 8.5-10 foot bears! This outfit's MASTER GUIDE is truly one of a kind and adds significant value to your experience. Outfit consistently sees 100% shot opportunity on 8.5' or better bears. These hunts are 10-days, not including travel on either side. Because of the worldwide importance of Kodiak brown bears and the restrictive regulations governing Kodiak brown bear hunts, it is important that you have a Master guide! Primary hunting method is spot/stalk, however, this hunt is not a grueling physical experience. In the spring, hunters search for big males coming out of the den heading to the Coastal tidal flats in search of food and a girlfriend! In the fall, hunters search for bears filling up their bellies - either on fish runs in creeks, on the coast or on hillsides feeding on berries/greens - before transitioning to their den. On fall Brown Bear adventures, hunters also have the opportunity to harvest a Sitka Black Tail buck if/when you see a good one! Sitka Black Tail buck tags are over the counter and the trophy fee is only $1500 (not included in package). Travel is relatively simple by booking a commercial flight (Alaska Airlines) to Kodiak, followed by an air taxi ($1000-$1500 per person, not included in package) to either of the camps provided. Parties of 3 or more stay in outfitter cabin from which you will venture out by boat. Parties of 2 or less will stay in, and hunt out of, a more remote cabin on Kodiak Island. Cabin/camp accommodations, meals guides, meat/trophy care to the airport are included in the package, for either the Kodiak hunt or the Peninsula hunt. Firearms, backpacks and sleeping bags can also be provided. Hunting license, tag fees, cost of non-hunting companion and flight to/from Kodiak Island are NOT included in the package. 2027 or 2028 Brown Bear pricing is $40000 and includes 1x1 guide service, cabin accommodations, meals and game prep. Spring & Fall hunts available! Pricing reflects approximate base package costs and should not be assumed to be all-inclusive. EMAIL US : For specific pricing, availability and other details.
