B203 - Nunavut, Western Canada
Barren Ground Grizzlys

The barren ground grizzly continues to grow in population and range across the vast tundra region of Nunavut in northwest Canada. While this species is somewhat smaller than the mountain grizzlys of Alaska and the Yukon it makes up for it in stature and aggressiveness. Any animal squaring over 6 feet is a very good bear and they have been harvested in this area over 7 feet. Because these animals are highly mobile we use snowmobiles as our principle source of transportation allowing us to cover large areas in search of trophy bruins. Spring hunts in early May have maintained 100% success rates.
